Bajaj Platina 110 CBS with Anti-Skid Braking launched in IndiaDecember 2, 2018
Bajaj Auto has launched the 110cc of the Platina with CBS or combined braking system and is marketing this as a ‘anti-skid braking’ system to garner more interest from buyers. The upcoming safety norms require bikes under 125cc to have CBS and this is the reason bike makers are fast introducing this feature.
The Platina 110 CBS is priced at Rs 49,300 (ex-showroom Delhi) and this makes it even more affordable than the 110cc Honda CLIQ scooter. As compared to the outgoing 100cc Platina, the premium is just Rs 2,000. This new model makes use of the same Discover 110 engine which means a capacity of 115.5cc and max power / torque of 8.6 PS / 9.81 Nm.
Though drum bakes are standard on the Platina 110 CBS, you can opt for a front disc brake as well. Visually not much has changed but as expected this bike gets fresh sticker work and we are told alloy wheels have been taken from the Discover family of bikes. The twin rear shock absorbers of the low-cost commuter now also gets inverted Nitrox chambers for added comfort.
The new Bajaj Platina 110 CBS is 3 mm longer and 7 mm taller as compared to the older version. However, the fuel tank capacity has dropped by 500 ml. Expect the bike to be visible on Bajaj Auto’s website in the coming few days.
