Suzuki V-Storm 650XT price could be Rs 7 lakh, to rival Kawasaki Versys 650September 22, 2018
Suzuki is planning to roll out their mid-capacity adventure motorcycle by next month. This is indeed the 650cc V-Strom 650XT (with ABS) and will be launched at a price of Rs 7.5 lakh, ex-showroom. The Suzuki V-Strom 650 will rival the Kawasaki Versys 650 (priced at Rs 6.69 lakh) and will take away customers from the more expensive Triumph Tiger 800.
The V-Strom 650 will be the sixth BIG bike from Suzuki for the Indian market. The latest launch was the naked 750 and the company already sells the bigger V-Strom 1000 here, but at a steep price over 13 lakh ex-showroom. The smaller sibling, with an attractive price tag, will be able to lure in buyers.
The V-Strom 650 puts out 2 bhp more but has 2 Nm of torque less as compared to the Versys 650. However, it will come loaded with features such as low rpm assist (to prevent stalling), traction control and Suzuki’s easy start system. It also gets 20 litre tank, enough for a usable range of about 450-500km for highway runs. And of course it looks much better than the normal V-Strom 650.
Indians are waking up to bikes like the V-Strom and the Versys 650. Even the smaller segment is witnessing action, thanks to bikes like the BMW 310 GS which is priced at Rs 3.49 lakh, half of the V-Strom 650 and Versys 650.
